Something Scented offers coconut-wax candles, soy wax melts, and room and linen sprays that are hand-poured with love. All order-related communication must take place through the email above to ensure clarity and accurate records. Messages sent through Facebook, Messenger, comments, or text are not used for customer service or order adjustments.


Return and Exchange Policy

Return requests apply to Ready-To-Sniff or Ready-To-Ship items only. If you believe you received an incorrect item or a defective product, you must email somethingscented2024@gmail.com within seven days of delivery and include photo or video proof. Your request will be reviewed, and if approved, a refund, exchange, or store credit will be issued at the shop’s discretion based on the nature of the issue.

The following do not qualify as defects and are not eligible for refund or replacement:

• Scent strength or personal fragrance preference
• Handmade variations such as frosting, mica patterns, color changes, or texture differences
• Melt pool differences or wick behavior that does not render a candle unsafe
• Weather-related issues such as sweating, frosting, or melting
• Postal delays or lost packages
• Damage caused by improper use or failure to follow candle-care guidelines

Custom and preorder items are final sale and not eligible for return or refund. Sale items are final.


Custom Order Policy

Custom orders are final sale. Every custom piece is made specially for you and requires additional time, materials, and care. Because of this, custom orders cannot be canceled, refunded, or altered once payment has been received.

Turnaround time for customs is an estimated eight to ten weeks beginning the day payment is received.

Custom candles may be made wickless if the chosen fragrance has not passed my full wick-testing process. Wick testing is done for the safety and performance of wicked candles, and not all fragrances are suitable for wicking. Wickless substitutions are not considered incorrect items and are a normal part of the custom-order process.

Scent selections for customs must be chosen from my current fragrance inventory. If you would like me to source a fragrance I do not currently carry, a Scent Sourcing Fee applies per fragrance. This fee covers the first ounce of fragrance oil, supplier shipping, and the additional time required to locate and order the scent.

If your custom order requires more than one ounce of that fragrance (for example, large melt batches or multiple products), the additional oil cost will be added to your order total. This allows me to bring in special-request oils without raising prices for the entire shop.

Scent selections must be finalized before production begins. Delays in scent selection will delay turnaround time.

Handmade variations such as color, mica, texture, frosting, and appearance are completely normal and not considered defects.


Preorder Policy

Preorders are final sale. These items are made specifically for preorder customers and follow the estimated production window listed on each product page. Preorder timelines may shift slightly due to curing time, supply restocks, or high-volume periods. These timelines are estimates rather than guarantees, but I always work as efficiently and safely as possible.


Shipping Policy

All orders are packaged with care and shipped through USPS or UPS. Once a package is accepted and scanned by the carrier, responsibility for delivery transfers to the carrier. I always do my best to pack items securely, but I cannot control what happens in transit.

 

Processing Times

• Ready-To-Sniff / Ready-To-Ship items: 5–15 business days

• Custom orders: 8–10 weeks (estimated)

• Pre-orders: timeframes listed on product pages


Shipping times provided by USPS or UPS are estimates and may vary due to weather, holidays, or carrier delays.


Transit Conditions

Candles and melts may experience sweating, frosting, texture changes, or minor melting during warmer or colder weather. These cosmetic variations do not affect performance and are not considered defects.


Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Packages

Once a package is in the possession of USPS or UPS, I am not able to replace or refund items due to lost, delayed, or stolen packages. Please file a claim directly with the carrier if this occurs. I’m always happy to assist with tracking information.


Damaged Packages

If your package arrives damaged, please email photo or video proof within 7 days so I can help you determine whether a carrier claim or shop review is appropriate. Weather-related cosmetic changes are not considered damage.


Incorrect Addresses

Please confirm your shipping address is correct at checkout. I am not responsible for packages delivered to an address entered incorrectly by the customer. If a package is returned to me, additional postage will be required to reship it.


Handmade Product Disclaimer

All items in this shop are handmade in small batches. Variations between products are normal and part of the charm of handcrafted work. These variations may include frosting, color differences, mica settling, texture shifts, or slight unevenness on the tops of candles. None of these characteristics affect performance and are not considered defects.

Scent strength may vary depending on room size, airflow, decor layout, type of warmer, and personal sensitivity.


Candle Safety and Use

Always follow the safety label on the product. Never burn a candle for more than four hours at a time. Keep away from drafts, flammable objects, pets, and children. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Use proper equipment for wickless candles such as a top or bottom candle warmer. More on candle safety can be found here.

Email allows me to keep accurate records, stay organized, and maintain consistent communication. Messages sent through Facebook, Messenger, or text will not be used for customer service.
